Trim video

Drop the dead time at each end and keep what is in between.

Drop the video to trim

MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV. Up to 10 minutes, 2 GB.

Almost every recording starts with a hand reaching for the tripod and ends with a hand reaching back. Trimming takes exactly that off: give a start and an end second, and download what is left as a new file.

Your video is never uploaded. The work happens inside the browser, on your own device, and the page keeps working offline once it has loaded. So there is no upload to wait for, no queue, and no file sitting on somebody else’s server afterwards.

Trimming re-encodes, so the output is not a byte-for-byte copy of the source; it is rewritten at a bitrate that holds the quality. In return the cut lands exactly where you asked. Tools that cut on keyframes can drift by up to a second; this does not.

For Reels, TikTok and Shorts: viewers leave in the first second. Finding where the video actually begins and trimming to there usually does more than any effect you could add.

Files up to 10 minutes and 2 GB. That is not a plan limit - it is what an ordinary laptop or phone handles comfortably. Trim a longer video first.

If you need more than this - removing a piece from the middle, joining two clips, adding text - open the same file in the editor. It runs the same engine, so it is exactly as fast.

Common questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The file never leaves your browser. Open your browser’s network tab and check: no media request is made while it runs.
Is there a watermark?
No. Not on the free plan, not on any plan.
Does the quality drop?
The video is re-encoded, so in theory there is some loss. The default bitrate is chosen so you will not see it.
Why only 10 minutes?
The work runs on your device. Ten minutes is what an ordinary laptop and phone handle safely; longer files lock up weaker machines.
