Cut out a section

Remove a piece from the middle; what is left joins up.

Drop the video to cut

MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV. Up to 10 minutes, 2 GB.

Trimming takes the ends, cutting takes the middle. A cough, a long pause, a sentence said wrong and said again: give a start and an end, that stretch comes out, and the two remaining pieces join with no gap.

Your video is never uploaded. The work happens inside the browser, on your own device, and the page keeps working offline once it has loaded. So there is no upload to wait for, no queue, and no file sitting on somebody else’s server afterwards.

The join is a hard cut. Usually that is what you want - in talking-head video a hard cut is invisible and tightens the pace. For a soft transition, open the file in the editor and put one between the two clips.

If you need several cuts, the editor is easier: make them all while watching, then export once.

Files up to 10 minutes and 2 GB. That is not a plan limit - it is what an ordinary laptop or phone handles comfortably. Trim a longer video first.

Common questions

Can I cut several sections?
One at a time here. For several, open the video in the editor and export once at the end.
Does the audio click at the join?
No. A short fade is applied across the join.
Can I undo the cut?
The output is a new file; your source is untouched. Drop it again and pick a different range.
Does the sound drift out of sync?
No. Picture and sound come from the same timeline.
